A protest in front of the Ministry of Justice building in Maitama, Abuja, has begun to mark the first anniversary of the #EndSARS movement.

On Wednesday, a large group of protesters, mostly dressed in black, gathered in front of the building with banners and placards.

The venue also has a large security presence to control the crowd and moving vehicles, as the protesters have taken over a section of the road.

Another group of protesters gathered at Abuja's Unity Fountain to commemorate the one-year anniversary of the #EndSARS protest that rocked the country last October.

At the #EndSARSMemorial protest at Lekki tollgate in Lagos, celebrities and activists joined a car procession.

Despite a ban on protests in Lagos and a large presence of armed police officers at the tollgate, this is happening.

Celebrities and other groups who arrived with their cars at the tollgate were seen waving Nigerian flags and honking horns while singing solidarity songs.
