The area within Orior Osemwende according to the people is over 1000 metres away from the boundary point agreed upon by the neighbouring community of Orior Ozola and affected property developer, Edobor Omoregie whose 4 bedroom flat at roofing level was allegedly brought down by some persons from Orior Ozola said he was shocked to see the destruction of his property which is within Orior Osemwende without prior notice or provocation.
Madam Rose Ohenhen allege that her cassava farm which cost her over 400 thousand naira to put up was destroyed.
"Nothing like argument before I build this house reach up, put zinc, nothing like argument at all for this place, unexpectedly just carry bulldozer come from nowhere just, just, as in they demolish am" – says Edobor Omoregie.
"Our crops, cassava and plantain were all destroyed" – says Madam Rose Ohenhen.
Secretary of Orior Osemwende, Iyoware Eric alleged that the persons who destroyed the property and crops, acted on the orders of the Okaighele of Orior Ozolua, Osasere Egharevba with evidence obtained from them and their equipments that they later abandoned.
"They left that boundary up there and they started bulldozing, destroying buildings, foundations and even spreading sand and gravel in sites that are solely owned by individuals" – Osasere Egharevba.
On his part, the Enogie of Orior Osemwende, His Royal Highness Vincent Nosakhare Ohenzuwa while appealing to relevant authorities to call the Okaighele of Orior Ozolua to order said, anyone who does land transactions concerning the affected area is at risk.
Reacting to the allegations leveled against him via a telephone interview, the Okaighele of Orior Ozolua, Osasere Egharevba denied ever destroying properties or crops belonging to the people of Orior Osemwende.
He said his community only used bulldozers to maintain the existing boundary between them and Orior Osemwende. He said the allegation was a calculated attempt to drag his name in the mud.
