One person was killed early on Monday morning in an accident involving a luxury bus and a truck at the Nipco filling station in Mowe, on the Lagos-Ibadan expressway, according to the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) in Ogun.
According to Ahmed Umar, Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) in Ogun, 21 other people were hurt, he informed reporters in Abeokuta.
According to Mr. Umar, the accident happened about 5.35 a.m.
The sector commander claimed that the truck driver's excessive speed resulted in him losing control and ramming into the bus, which was stopped, in the accident.
The two vehicles, he observed, lacked registration plates.
“The truck driver rammed into the stationary bus and killed the driver of the bus, who was under the bus trying to rectify some faults discovered from the vehicle.
”The bus was going outward Lagos to the Eastern part of the country before it developed (a) fault,” he said.
According to the FRSC boss, the deceased were deposited at the hospital morgue while the injured were brought to Famobis Hospital in Mowe.
