CP SK Akande, the commissioner of police, has sharply decried the recent attack on a mother and her young daughter at Kadamti village in Numan Local Government Area by suspected herders, which tragically resulted in the young girl's death and serious injuries to the mother.
As a result, in order to maintain peace and justice, the CP has mandated an immediate arrest and covert investigation into the incident.
As the command regards citizens' lives as sacred, the CP issued a warning that attacks on innocent people would no longer be tolerated under any pretext. Instead, such unwanted behaviour would be rigorously dealt with in accordance with existing laws.
He equally reiterated the command’s commitment to protecting lives and property while stressing that it is vital to work with other sister security agencies in protecting the fundamental rights of Citizens.
The police boss appealed for calmness as the Command is doing everything legally possible to detect and apprehend the Suspects.
