Peter Obi, the presidential candidate for the Labour Party, responded on Monday to Datti Baba-remark Ahmed's on the shooting at the Lekki toll gate at the 2020 EndSARS demonstration.
Remember how his vice presidential candidate said last week that it is questionable if the military's shooting at the Lekki toll gate during the October 2020 #EndSARS demonstration qualifies as a "massacre" during an appearance on Channels TV's Politics Today.
On the Arise Tv Morning Show, however, Obi said that he was unaware that Baba-Datti had made such a claim, but that there were some instances where they would revisit decisions and apologise to those affected.
The former Anambra governor said, “I did not even listen to that; maybe I will go back and listen to everything. I must tell you, I did not listen to it; I am just hearing it for the first time. For me, there are things we need to probably open up tomorrow and look into.
“I have always said, in my reconciliation, we must go back to certain things and be able to apologise to people because things were done wrongly. There are so many things that we need to apologise for in this country.”
