Prof. Chukwuma Soludo, Governor of Anambra State, has approved the release of funds for the first, second, and third terms of payment for new registration of Anambra State Government's special scholarship program beneficiaries.

Prof. Ngozi Chuma-Udeh, the Commissioner for Education, revealed in a statement that the approved amount totaled fourteen million, one hundred and twenty thousand naira.

37 students from educationally disadvantaged and difficult-to-reach areas are currently enrolled in the program at some of the state's mission-managed schools.

Commissioner Chuma-Udeh thanked Governor Soludo for his generosity in approving the program's continuation, stating that it was designed to liberate students from socio-cultural practices that impede their academic pursuit.

Furthermore, the Education Commissioner stated that Governor Soludo's approval for the continuation of the special scholarship program, was in line with the State Government's policy of ensuring that no child is to be left behind, as well as the commitment to provide the enabling environment and equal access to education, for Anambra children to realize their potentials.

Meanwhile the Commissioner for Education, Prof. Ngozi Chuma-Udeh has scheduled Tuesday, 29th November 2022, for an interactive session with beneficiaries of the special scholarship program.
