Dauda Biu has been appointed by President Muhammadu Buhari as the new corp marshal and CEO of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC).
In July, Biu served as the temporary corps marshal and was in control of the FRSC.
He replaced Boboye Oyeyemi, who had stepped down earlier that month.
The declaration was made on Friday by Willie Bassey, the secretary to the government of the federation's director of information.
The announcement also stated Lanre Gbajabiamila being reappointed to the position of director-general of the National Lottery Regulatory Commission with Buhari's permission.
For the River Basin Development Authorities, Bello Gwarzo was reappointed as executive director (planning) of Hadejia Jama'are RBDA and Olatunji Babalola as executive director (engineering) of Ogun-Osun RBDA (RBDAs).
Adewale Adeoye and Bala Zango both had their contracts for executive director (planning and design) at the Ogun-Osun RBDA and executive director (planning) at the Sokoto Rima RBDA extended, respectively.
Ononuju Nwabunor's appointment as executive director (Agricultural Services) for Benin Owena RBDA was also disclosed.
The new appointments received congratulations from President Buhari, who also urged them to leverage their wide expertise in their new roles.
