Gunmen abducted four students who were allegedly on their way home for the holidays when they were travelling along the Akunnu-Ajowa route in the Akoko area of Ondo state.
The Kogi State Polytechnic students were allegedly ambushed on Friday near Akoko's infamous Ago Jinadu Axis.
As a direct result, terror has gripped the residents of the Ajowa village and the nearby territories.
When reached, ACP Muri Agboola, the Police Area Commander in Ikare, stated that his men had been looking for the missing pupils in the trees around the Akunnu-Ajowa Akoko road.
The state police command's spokesman, Funmi Odunlami, was unavailable for comment.
