The Lagos State Commissioner of Police, CP Abiodun Alabi, on Wednesday said that he had deployed enough officers and operational vehicles to strategic areas across Lagos to ensure hitch-free celebrations during the festive period.
At a press conference held at the Command Headquarters in Ikeja, Lagos, the Police Commissioner said this.
Alabi emphasised that the command's primary priority was ensuring the safety of the state's residents.
“We have ensured that adequate human and operational resources have been deployed to all strategic points across the state,” he said.
Alabi enjoined everyone to do their lawful duties without fear of harassment or intimidation while remaining security conscious and vigilant.
He said: “I am using this medium to felicitate residents and the good people of Lagos State, predominantly the Christian faithful, on the occasion of the 2022 Christmas celebration.
“I, therefore, enjoin everyone to go about their lawful duties without fear of harassment or intimidation while remaining security conscious and vigilant.
“I wish you all Merry Christmas and Happy New Year in advance.”
