APC Presidential rally: Tinubu arrives Ilorin amidst cheers

On Tuesday, thousands of people in Kwara waved joyfully on the streets of Ilorin to welcome Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, the APC's presidential candidate, and other dignitaries to the state for his campaign.

According to Prime 9ja Online, Tinubu, Kashim Shettima, the party's national chairman Abdullahi Adamu, and other APC leaders and supporters came in the historic city with them.

The governor, a host of APC candidates, and leaders from all throughout the state of harmony welcomed them.

The three senators from Kwara and their colleagues from Kogi and other regions of Nigeria, cabinet members, APC candidates, and hundreds of party members rode along on the welcome train with the minister of information, Alhaji Lai Mohammed.

The airport was crowded with supporters, many of whom were wearing the "Emi Lokan" cap. Security personnel were battling to get through the crowds of people heralding Asiwaju's entry into the city.

He danced while waving the broom to the various musical selections made by both supporters and admirers.

Thousands of supporters and admirers lined the streets beginning at the Ilorin International Airport, clogging them with suffocating human traffic that trapped the double-decker Marco Polo bus carrying Tinubu and the dignitaries.

After travelling for more than an hour between the airport and the nearby neighbourhood of Gaa Odota, the convoy moved on to the rally's location.

Before entering the campaign area, the candidate and his entourage paid respects to Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, the Emir of Ilorin.

Huge numbers of party members braved the elements to attend Tinubu's speeches and the official presentation of flags to the candidates, including incumbent governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq.

The campaign and palace addresses' specifics will come next.
