Insecurity: Hoodlums Raze Anambra Police Station

In the Aguata Local Government Area of Anambra State, several thugs set fire to the Umuchu Police Station, which is located along the Umuchu-Achina route.

According to reports, the criminals attacked the police station early on Sunday morning and set the building on fire.

More than two years after it was demolished by certain agitators during the #EndSARS protest, according to Prime 9ja Online, the station was recently repaired by collective effort.

Tochukwu Ikenga, the state's police public relations officer, confirmed the event to Prime 9ja Online on Monday.

Ikenga claimed that neither lives were lost nor weapons were taken during the arson.

Normalcy has been restored to the neighbourhood, the police official assured, adding that a covert investigation is ongoing to find those responsible for the despicable act.

The state government's slogan, "Seeing something and saying something," should be encouraged, he said, and he urged the public to always provide the police with important information that will support the improvement of state security.
