Olusegun Obasanjo, a former president, participated in an 18-kilometer walk as part of celebrations honouring the Baptist Boys High School (BBHS) in Abeokuta, Ogun State, which was founded 100 years ago.

Among those who graduated from the BBHS were Obasanjo, the projected victor of the presidential election on June 12, 1993, and MKO Abiola.

For the college's centennial commemoration, a full calendar of events has been planned.

Obasanjo delighted locals, drivers, and onlookers on the stroll on Monday together with the old boys association of the BBHS, which was led by Prof. Kayode Oyesiku, National President, and many of the current students.

The Olu Ibara of Ibara, Oba Jacob Omolade, the former Finance Minister, Onolapo Soleye, and the Alake of Egbaland, Oba Aremu Adedotun Gbadebo, were among those who hosted Obasanjo and his team.

Some of their former classmates joined them when they went to the Palace of Alake.

The elderly lads strolled around Oke Egunya, Igbore, Oke Igbein, and at Omida, the palace of Oba Omolade, while singing various songs, including the school anthem.

They left the Ake palace and eventually relocated to Soleye's home in the Ibara Housing Estate.
