The presidential candidate for the Labour Party (LP), Peter Obi, has asserted that he and his running partner, Yusuf Datti, are free from corruption and have never embezzled public funds. Accordingly, he and Datti are qualified to be chosen in next month's presidential election.
He made this statement on Friday at the party's campaign rally at the Rwang Pam Stadium in Jos, the capital of the Plateau State.
He claimed that nobody who had accused him of anything had just mentioned that he is frugal and had never been accused of wrongdoing.
He promised that he would properly safeguard and use the nation's riches for the benefit of the average person.
He claimed that, in contrast to the candidates of other political parties, who are old men, he and his running mate were young, intelligent, agile, and energetic.
If he were elected, he said that the nation's problems with poverty, corruption, and insecurity would be resolved.
