High Chief Raymond Dokpesi (PhD), the founder of DAAR Communications Plc, has been let free following an incident that caused him to be detained upon arrival at Heathrow Airport in London, United Kingdom, on Sunday.
Dokpesi flew with Lufthansa from Abuja to Frankfurt, Germany, and was the first person let out of the plane when it landed.
He claimed that he had to wait for several hours at the airport before British immigration officials stamped his passport and allowed him entry into the country in a statement that was made public on Monday and was signed by High Chief Dokpesi.
The media mogul claimed that Atiku Abubakar's decision to visit the United Kingdom was influenced by the British government's invitation to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate to talk about the next presidential election in Nigeria in 2023.
Dokpesi is the Deputy Director-General for Technical and Systems Operations of the PDP Presidential Campaign Council.
After learning of the incident, Chief Dokpesi thanked everyone for their support, love, and prayers while also assuring them that he was okay.
