2023 Election: Aliero Leading in 6 LGs in Kebbi Central — INEC
The ongoing Kebbi central senatorial election has shown Senator Muhammad Adamu Aliero of the All Progressives Congress (APC) leading in the race. The results, which have been collated by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) from six local government areas, including Gwandu, Bunza, Aliero, Maiyama, Koko Besse, and Kalgo, indicate that Senator Aliero is leading the incumbent Governor of Kebbi State, Abubakar Atiku Bagudu of the APC, with a margin of 19,550 votes.

As per the collated results, Senator Aliero has garnered a total of 74,336 votes, while Governor Bagudu is trailing behind with 54,786 votes. The race has been closely contested, with both candidates putting in a lot of effort to win over voters in the Kebbi central senatorial district.

The lead of Senator Aliero in these six local government areas is a significant development in the election, as it could have a bearing on the final outcome of the poll. However, it is important to note that the results are yet to be officially declared by INEC, and there is still a long way to go before a winner can be announced.

The people of Kebbi central senatorial district will be eagerly waiting for the final results of the election, which will determine the person that will represent them in the Senate for the next four years. It is expected that the outcome of the election will have a significant impact on the politics and governance of Kebbi state and Nigeria as a whole. The election has been closely monitored by both local and international observers, and there is hope that it will be free, fair, and credible.
