The church shared an e-flier on its Facebook page on Friday, detailing the schedule of events for the funeral, which is set to take place on September 8 and 9, 2023.
According to the e-flier, a service of songs in honour of Pastor Taiwo Odukoya will be held on Friday, September 8. This will be a time for friends, family, and well-wishers to gather and pay their respects to the late pastor.
The funeral service itself will be held on Saturday, September 9. Both events are scheduled to take place at the church's headquarters in the Ilupeju area of Lagos State.
In light of these arrangements, the Fountain of Life Church has also made some adjustments to its regular Sunday service.
The church has announced that on the Sunday following the funeral, only one service will be held, starting at 9:00 am. Additionally, there will be no onsite or online children's church on that day.
The passing of Pastor Taiwo Odukoya, who died at the age of 67 in the United States on August 7, has left a significant void in the church community.
His legacy and contributions to the Fountain of Life Church and the broader community will be remembered and celebrated during the upcoming funeral events.
As the church community prepares to bid farewell to their beloved pastor, the announcement of the funeral arrangements provides a clear schedule for individuals to come together and commemorate the life and impact of Pastor Taiwo Odukoya. The service of songs and funeral service will serve as a time of reflection, remembrance, and honouring the life and ministry of a respected figure within the church and beyond.
