Justice Assured in Mohbad's Death, Says Funmi Falana
Mrs Funmi Falana, wife of renowned lawyer Mr Femi Falana (SAN), expressed her confidence on Friday that justice would prevail in the case of the late musician Ilerioluwa Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad. Mrs Falana is a partner at Falana Falana Chambers, a firm actively involved in the case surrounding the musician's death. She is also the legal counsel for the Aloba family.

The young musician tragically passed away on September 12 and was laid to rest the following day at the age of 27. His untimely death sparked considerable controversy, leading the Lagos State Government to order a coroner's inquest into the circumstances surrounding his demise.

A preliminary meeting regarding the inquest was held at the Ikorodu Magistrates' Court on Friday to discuss various aspects of the proceedings, including the selection of witnesses to testify before the court.

Mrs Falana addressed reporters at the courthouse, affirming the purpose of the coroner's inquest, which is to investigate the cause of death. She reassured the public that justice would prevail, emphasising that it was crucial to determine the truth behind the young man's tragic passing.

She disclosed that witnesses would begin testifying before the court on October 13 and urged the public to remain calm throughout the process, emphasising that justice would not be compromised.

The controversy surrounding Mohbad's death prompted the Lagos State Police Command to establish a 19-member special investigative team to look into the incident. As part of their investigation, the police exhumed the late singer's body for further examination.

The inquest aims to uncover the truth behind Mohbad's passing and serve as a deterrent to prevent similar incidents in the future. The legal process continues to unfold, with many eagerly awaiting the outcome to ensure justice is served.
