In a shocking incident, a family travelling along the Eke-Egede-Affa Road in Udi Local Government Area of Enugu State fell victim to an ambush by armed individuals, believed to be kidnappers. The man, whose identity is yet to be confirmed, was killed on the spot.
According to an eyewitness who wished to remain anonymous, the armed individuals launched a sudden attack on the family. The man was killed instantly in the assault. In a further twist to the horrifying event, the attackers proceeded to kidnap the man's wife and daughter.
The incident occurred at approximately 3:30 pm on Sunday, March 10. The quiet afternoon was shattered by the violent episode, leaving the local community in shock and fear.
DSP Daniel Ndukwe, the Spokesman of the Police Command in Enugu State, confirmed the incident. He assured that the police have initiated a manhunt for the armed individuals responsible for the attack. Efforts are also underway to rescue the kidnapped victims.
