Former President, Olusegun Obasanjo has commended Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi State over his efforts in ensuring security, good governance, and infrastructural development in the State.

Bello’s Chief Press Secretary, Mohammed Onogwu, made the meeting public in a statement on Sunday evening, NAN reports.

Obasanjo commended Bello for his good works and urged him to sustain the efforts.

Onogwu said the parley between the governor and Obasanjo ended with fruitful discussion.

Commending the governor for his stride in fighting insecurity, Obasanjo stressed that Kogi State was central to Nigeria’s development.

Obasanjo stated that the fight against insecurity should have everybody on board, adding that governors should involve everyone to ensure insecurity is curtailed in Nigeria.

Obasanjo appreciated the governor for his developmental efforts in the state, especially in youth and women’s inclusion in politics and governance, infrastructure, health, and education.

He further urged the governor to continue to be an advocate for youth involvement in governance.
