Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Faruk Yahaya said the civil populace remains an integral stakeholder in the affairs of the Nigerian military, hence the need to partner with them in terms of humor and infrastructure development.

Lieutenant General Faruk Yahaya, represented by Major General MG. Kangye said the project is to complement the government's provision of affordable and accessible health care services

"Today is a great day, not only for the Nigerian Army but indeed, for the good people of Edo State. The Nigerian army is fully aware of the high level of cooperation and goodwill. The Nigerian army enjoys from the civil companies across our great nation and indeed Edo State in particular." he says

According to Nigerian Army Special Projects, Major General Philip Eromosele, who expressed deep appreciation to the Chief of Army Staff Lieutenant General Faruk Yahaya for this scheme, said many other communities have benefited from the projects.

"We have to break down the roof of the structure, give a modern instead of a one big home, created a male ward, female ward, and children ward,  a laboratory, a pharmacy as well as a medicine station within the structure. While that was being done, there was the need to have an industrial borehole in the community to address the problem of water," he says.

The Edo State Commissioner for Health, Professor Obey Akoria assured of the state government's desire to provide the mapper to facilitate the smooth operation of the health center.

Major General Kevin Alibi, for Brigade Nigeria Army, Brigadier General Sunny Abdullahi, and others witnessed the event.

High point of the ceremony was a guided tour of the facilities.
