Nigeria Labour Congress and co. proclaim their support for Labour Party
Peter Obi, the candidate for the Labour Party's presidency, has received the support of both the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and the Trade Union Congress of Nigeria (TUC).

On Tuesday in Abuja, the NLC and TUC made the commitment in separate speeches.

The NLC stands firmly behind Obi and would mobilise to achieve the Labour Party's triumph in the general elections of 2023, according to NLC President Ayuba Wabba, who was addressing at the 10th Memorial Lecture in honour of the late Pascal Bafya.

He said that labour must become actively involved in politics and work hard to promote candidates whose platform will improve lives for their members and Nigerians in general.

In contrast, Obi is a face that all labour unions are happy to see and are prepared to cooperate with, according to TUC President Quadri Olaleye.

According to Olaleye, the whole labour movement has embraced, adopted, and will support Obi in the 2023 presidential elections and make sure that workers cast a sizable number of ballots for him.

"There is a worker and a member of either the TUC or NLC in every family across Nigeria, making the Labour Party stronger, more united, and more formidable."
