Churches and their leaders in the state have been urged to participate in a 7-day prayer and fasting period by the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Oyo branch.
The Oyo state CAN chairman, Apostle Joshua Akinyemiju, made this appeal in a statement on Friday in Ibadan.
He announced that from July 18 to July 24, there would be prayers and fasting.
The seventh day, according to Akinyemiju, would be a celebration of prayerfully answered requests.
“Our prayer points for the seven days should centre on the restoration of peace and security in Oyo and Nigeria in general.
“This is very crucial and urgent; May God arise and destroy all the enemies against peace in Nigeria in Jesus’ name,” he said.
