Deji Adeyanju, an activist lawyer based in Abuja, has suggested that Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State will support Bola Tinubu, the All Progressives Congress, APC's nominee for president in 2023.
Wike and some of his party members, according to Adeyanju, won't leave the PDP for the All Progressives Congress (APC).
He declared that they will stay in the PDP and seek to make Tinubu the next president of Nigeria.
The activist further asserted in a tweet that Rabiu Kwankwaso of the New Nigerian People Party (NNPP) and Peter Obi of the Labour Party (LP), both of whom are running for president in 2023, are inadvertently promoting Tinubu.
According to Adeyanju, Obi and Kwankwaso's refusal to team together against the APC is a brilliant game plan in Tinubu's favor.
"Wike and others won't join the APC, but they are all likely to remain in the PDP and support Mr. Agbado," he wrote. The same will be indirectly accomplished by Obi and Kwankwaso as well.
"Their refusal to establish even the slightest coalition with the opposition to fight the government in power is all a flawless game plan," He said.
esterday in River State, Wike had a private meering with three APC governors.
The governors are Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State, Kayode Fayemi of Ekiti State, and Rotimi Akeredolu of Ondo State.
