Ifeanyi Okowa: PDP will go into 2023 polls as united family
Ifeanyi Okowa, governor of Delta State and vice presidential candidate for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has promised that the party will enter the elections in 2016 as a single, cohesive organisation.

Following a private meeting with Governor Samuel Ortom, Okowa made this statement to reporters at the Benue State Governor's Lodge in Asokoro, Abuja.

He stressed that at the end, "all concerns would be settled," referring to the reconciliation process being carried out by party officials to address all issues arising from the Presidential primaries and his subsequent selection as the Vice Presidential candidate.

The PDP vice presidential candidate added that Mr. Nyesom Wike, governor of Rivers State, was a steadfast party supporter who had put in a lot of effort to make the PDP successful and would not want to work for another political party.

In his remarks, Governor Samuel Ortom supported the vice presidential candidate's stance and stated that PDP officials were still debating how to fix any issues that may have arisen during the Presidential primaries.

But according to Governor Ortom, Wike needs to be appeased as a crucial and significant PDP stakeholder in order to make sure that the reconciliation process is simple and straightforward.
