LAHASCOM names Oshungboye as its acting chairman.
Otunba Richard Akin Oshungboye has been chosen by the Lagos State House of Assembly to serve as the LAHASCOM's acting chairman.

The appointment, which was issued through a letter dated July 21, was required for both the efficient functioning of the Commission and to fill the void caused by the dismissal of the previous Chairman, Chief Wale Mogaji.

Before being appointed, Otunba Oshungboye served as Commissioner 1 for the Commission. He had 28 years of banking experience, including 11 years as a human resources professional, before being named between 2015 and 2019 as the Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly's Special Adviser on Budget and Economic Planning by Rt. Hon. Mudashiru Obasa.

Oshungboye is anticipated to meet this week with Members, Management, and Staff to set a new direction for the Commission.

The newly appointed Acting Chairman, who was born on April 14, 1959, has been involved in state politics since 2015.

The Commission's job is to hire staff, advance them, discipline them, create policies, and put them into action so that the State Legislature may perform services effectively and efficiently.
