After the release of his new album, rapper Jude Abaga, alias MI Abaga, has stated that he intends to change his stage name.
The seasoned rapper revealed that after 15 years of using MI (Mister Incredible) as his stage name, he will be abandoning it in favour of a new moniker that better fits his new album.
The 40-year-old rapper gave an explanation for why he felt it was necessary to choose a new moniker for his new project, claiming that because it required so much effort to create, it deserved a new name.
“After over 15 years as Mister Incredible, I will be retiring the name “MI Abaga” and taking on a new name for my new project because, my new album hard AF and it deserves a new name,” he tweeted.
He continued, "My final act as MI will be a performance at "The Vibe" on the 10th of July where I will commemorate my legacy as Africa's best rapper. I invite my fans and lover to my last performance under my present stage name. I'll see you all at stage M.
