The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Osun State Command, has sought the support of Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, (Ojaja II) to enable the Corps deliver on its mandates in the state.
The State’s Commandant, Sunday Agboola made the request when he paid a courtesy visit to the paramount monarchy in his palace, Ile Ife.
This is contained in a press release e-signed by the Command’s Public Relations Officer, ASC II Atanda Olabisi.
Commandant Agboola while appreciating His Royal Majesty, for his warm reception said his support has helped the Command in successfully carrying out its mandates and fight against crime in the State.
He used the visit to seek for more support from His Royal Majesty at this crucial time of the gubernatorial election in the state.
“I am here and ready to work out the full mandate of the Corps in Osun State and with your support, success is within reach and achievable”, Agboola said.
Agboola assured His Royal Majesty of excellent service delivery by all officers and men of the Command and his untiring dedication to the protection of lives and property of the citizens of the State.
Responding, Oba Ogunwusi, assured the Commandant of his full support and prayers, adding that Osun is a peaceful state and tasked Agboola to maintain peace in all the communities.
The Royal Father charged the Commandant to effectively carry out his mandates in safeguarding the communities, get closer to the public, urged him to be a team player.
He assured the Corps of his commitment to security and peace always and wished the Commandant well in his new assignments.
