On Friday, some troops arrested Kazeem Oyewale, also known as "Asiri Eniba," the chapter leader of the National Union of Road Transport Workers in Osun State.

According to reports, soldiers came and picked up Oyewale, the NURTW Chairman, Olorunda unit, in the afternoon from his office in the Ojurin, Osogbo vehicle park. It was discovered that the suspect was not the only one arrested.

Many drivers and passengers who were waiting to board cars to go to various places were said to have fled the scene as a result of the development, which is said to have caused panic in the Old Garage Area where the park is located.

It should be remarked that the PDP leadership in Osun State recently claimed to have submitted multiple petitions accusing the leader of the NURTW of planning attacks on its members to security personnel.

During a conversation with our correspondent, an eyewitness described how Oyewale was suddenly taken away and said, "The military arrested him in his office. They arrived in two cars. Along with him, a few others were apprehended.

We are unable to disclose his current location, however he was arrested into custody this afternoon in Ojurin, Osogbo, in his office.

However, one of our correspondents later discovered that Oyewale and approximately 15 other people who were detained by troops had been later turned over to police at the Osun Police Command Headquarters in Osogbo.

When questioned if Oyewale and other suspects were in police custody, Johnson Kokumo, the deputy inspector general of police in charge of the Osun election, merely responded, "Some arrests have been made." I'm not sure if it was done by military personnel or civil defense. However, I have no idea who they are. Before we inquire as to their identities, let's do our investigation.
