Oluwatobiloba Amusan, who brought honour to Nigeria at the World Athletics Championship in Oregon, was met for the first time by Sunday Dare, Minister for Youth and Sports Development, on Friday.

Reminding Tobi that she had courageously etched her mark into history, Sunday Dare once more voiced his joy at her accomplishments.

Dare remarked, "You have made Nigerians happy, and the nation firmly supports you as well as other athletes. I appreciate your outstanding performance and the way you represented Nigeria.

He advised her to concentrate on the task at hand during the Commonwealth Games in Birmingham, along with the other athletes.

Starting on Monday, August 1, 2022, Team Nigeria will set out on its quest for victory in the Commonwealth Games' Track and Field competition.
