In the previous two seasons, Onuachu has excelled for Genk. The Nigerian striker scored 34 league goals two seasons ago. His accomplishments were recognised, as he was named Belgium's top player.
The Super Eagles striker was anticipated to leave the club following his success. Nevertheless, Genk kept him despite rumours linking him to Lyon, Arsenal, and West Ham.
Onuachu's desire to go from Genk to another team was never hidden. But he handled things in a professional manner.
Due to his strong play last season, the large Nigerian striker has continued to be the subject of rumours.
Last season, Onuachu made 41 appearances and scored 23 goals.
The towering attacker has been linked to Atletico Madrid, West Ham, and Fiorentina. But they might have tough competition because Wolverhampton Wanderers are reportedly interested in Onuachu, according to SportsMole.
The team led by Bruno Lage enjoyed a respectable season before that. But they want to do better than that. Fabio Silva, a striker for Wolves, will be loaned to Anderlecht, and the club is looking for a replacement.
