According to a support group called Asiwaju-Shettima Connect, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, the APC's presidential candidate, will provide young Nigerians the chance to take the reins as political and corporate leaders during his administration.
Adebanjo Moyosore, the group's national convener, said in a statement that there are significant public policy issues that need to be resolved before youngsters can express themselves.
The majority of the problems we confront in the nation, according to the group, won't be resolved until a leader with Tinubu's vision and passion for the nation's youth is elected president.
It praised the presidential candidate for his comments in a video about Nigerian youngsters and their achievements in music and sports.
In a film for International Youth Day 2022 titled "Intergenerational Solidarity: Creating a World for All Age," the former governor of Lagos said that several Nigerian musicians, including Burna Boy, Tiwa Savage, Davido, Wizkid, and Tems, have conquered the world with their musical prowess.
The APC presidential candidate also praised Tobi Amusan, Ese Brume, and others for their outstanding performance at the recently finished Commonwealth Games, where Nigeria placed first in Africa and seventh overall in the medals table.
The statement reads: “He has remained a mentor who has over these year mentored the best managers in politics and business; the single most important thing any true leader can do to help prepare the next generation of leadership to take up the baton, and to take their own crack at changing the fortune of their country.
“There are huge public policy problems that are yet to be addressed to allow the youths of this country express themselves and most of these challenges we face in country today, from insecurity to poverty, high cost of living and unemployment would not be solved until someone like Tinubu who has the foresight and love for the youths of this country comes in.
“We have seen what he has turned Lagos into in twenty years. Lagos today has become the third largest economy in Africa because of Tinubu’s master plan to build a mega city, something he can do better if given the opportunity to lead the country.”
