Dino Melaye, the presidential spokesperson for the Abubakar Atiku campaign, asserted that it is difficult to campaign for or support Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, the APC's nominee for president, without coming across as foolish.
Mealaye made this statement on Friday's episode of Politics Today, a political talk show on Channels TV.
The former congressman argued that Atiku, who he characterised as being the most prepared of all the presidential candidates, is unbeatable against Tinubu and Peter Obi of the Labour Party.
The APC candidate, he continued, is the most challenging to market “because of its collosal failure.”
Melaye criticised Festus Keyamo, Minister of Labour and Employment, for his recent remark about Atiku that he was unable to lead Nigeria.
According to PRIME 9JA ONLINE, Melaye claimed that Tinubu is running for office to realise a "lifetime goal" and views the office as his "entitlement and retirement perks."
He said, “This government marketed Atiku by their colossal failure. Today, the most difficult candidate to sell is APC candidate whether at House of Representatives, senator or governorship level.
“That is why you cannot defend, promote or campaign for Bola Ahmed Tinubu without looking stupid. This is what happened to my brother and friend, Festus Keyamo, he started talking off point. He started saying things that do not make sense.”
