Uduak Akpan attempted to flee after court sentenced him to death for killing Ini Umeron (VIDEO BELOW)
Recall that The Akwa Ibom State High Court's Justice Bassey Nkanang sentenced Uduak Akpan to death by hanging on Thursday for the murder of Iniubong Umoren.
Umoren, a Philosophy graduate from the University of Uyo, was assassinated in April 2021. She was looking for work while waiting to be mobilized for the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC).
Late Iniubong Umoren, a Philosophy graduate from the University of Uyo (UNIUYO), was raped, murdered, and buried in a shallow grave in April 2021 by a suspected serial rapist and killer, Uduak-Abasi Akpan.
Uduak-Abasi Akpan had lured his victim, who was 26 years old, to his family residence in Uruan local government area with a job offer, where he allegedly raped, murdered, and buried her in a shallow grave on the premises.
Uduak Akpan, the convicted killer of Akwa Ibom jobseeker Iniobong Umoren, attempted to flee after being sentenced to death at the Akwa Ibom State High Court on Thursday.
He was, however, overpowered by security personnel.
