Championship club wants ₦700million-valued Super Eagles striker
Simy Nwankwo, a powerful Super Eagles attacker, is wanted by English Championship team Birmingham City this summer.

Simy first gained attention two seasons ago when he led Crotone in Serie A scoring with 20 goals. His accomplishment, however, wasn't enough to keep his squad from being demoted to Serie B.

The Nigerian striker first signed a loan agreement with Salernitana before five months had passed.

Unfortunately, Simy's brilliant Salernitana side could not overcome their struggles. He played in 19 Serie A games but only scored once. He was loaned to Parma by Salernitana due to his wastefulness.

Simy only scored one goal in 12 Serie B games, so he was unable to demonstrate his value.

The 30-year-old has since returned to Salernitana, but he hasn't played much because, according to sources, the team is willing to let him leave.

The former Portimonense player wasn't included in Salernitana's matchday roster for their previous match against Roma.

Simy appears to be in for some relief soon, though, as Birmingham City is reportedly interested in signing the Nigerian striker, according to Blues Focus.

The blues are trying to go back into the Premier League, but they don't have many striker choices. And Simy might work well for them.

A decent target, the Super Eagles striker is now valued at €1.5 million.

Also, Simy stands tall at 6ft 6″. as such, he could provide a real presence in opponents’ area.

If the deal goes through, it would be the first time that Simy would play in England.
