Thomas Tuchel, the manager of Chelsea, stated he was open to working with Romelu Lukaku this year.
Returning on loan to Inter Milan, Lukaku failed to score in the victory at Lecce.
Tuchel stated that a replacement is now required.
He said, “I was ready to try again, Romelu was clear that his decision was to return [to Inter].
“In the end, the owners decided to go along with his wish, so we have to find new solutions.”
