Prior to the state's 2023 National Assembly election, Governor David Umahi's opponent for the All Progressives Congress (APC) senatorial ticket in Ebonyi South, Mrs. Ann Ago-Eze, was expelled from the party.
Mrs. Ann Ago-Eze, who is challenging Umahi for the APC senatorial nomination in the Ebonyi South zone at the Court of Appeal in Abuja, was kicked out of the party over the weekend due to alleged serious misbehaviour.
educating reporters The state party chairman, Chief Stanley Okoro Emegha, who also happens to be from the senatorial district, stated shortly after the expulsion that Mrs. Ago-Eze had blatantly violated the constitution, which forbids any act of dishonesty that might be used to discredit the party or its members.
