Operations throughout the Enugu Electricity Distribution Company PLC (EEDCfranchise )'s area have been disrupted as a result of the industrial strike action that the National Union of Electricity Employees (NUEE) began at the Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) power facilities.
The supply to our esteemed customers in the states of Abia, Anambra, Ebonyi, Enugu, and Imo has been impacted as a result of the strike, according to a statement released by Emeka Ezeh, Head Corporate Communications, (EEDC).
He claimed that discussions about the strike issue and potential supply restoration are currently taking place with important power industry stakeholders.
“The Management of EEDC hereby encourage customers and neighbourhood associations to be vigilant and protect the electrical installations within their environment against elements who might take advantage of this outage to vandalise these installations
“We, therefore, appeal for continued patience and understanding while this is resolved,” he said
