Usman Alkali Baba's wife, Hajiya Hajara Alkali Baba, has claimed that one of her accomplishments as the National President of the Police Officers' Wives Association (POWA) is the resuscitation of the organisation after it had previously fallen into a coma.

She revealed this to reporters on Tuesday after paying a courtesy visit to the Agaba-Idu, John Elaigwu Odogbo, the Ochi'Idoma, at his palace in Otukpo, Otukpo Local Government Area (LGA) of Benue state.

She claimed that since taking office a little more than a year ago, she has opened a skill acquisition centre in Port-Harcourt, the capital of Rivers State, and that construction is now ongoing on another facility in Imo State.

According to her, “One of my greatest achievements was to revive POWA nationally.

“I have also set up a skill acquisition centre in Port-Harcourt with the support of the state government. Right now you have wives of police officers benefitting from the scheme; not just them but even persons in the community in which the project is sited are benefiting from the centre.
