Amos Magbon, the rector of the Federal School of Statistics in Manchok, Kaduna State, was freed just 48 hours after being kidnapped by armed men.
On Tuesday night, Magbon had been kidnapped from his Manchok home.
Innocent Magbon, his brother, told reporters that they were free.
“We return all glory to God Almighty for making this possible,” he added
Brenda Friday, the niece of NAN correspondent Philip Yatai, whose father was slain by the terrorists in a raid on his Manchok house on Tuesday night, was also freed.
The release of his niece by her kidnappers was confirmed by Philip Yatai.
