Yusuf Olawale Adetokunbo was given a six-month prison sentence on Monday by an Ikeja Special Offenses Court for possessing a document with a fraudulent pretence.

Adetokunbo was sentenced by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo, the presiding judge, after he admitted guilt to a charge that was a part of the offence that the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission had brought against him (EFCC).

The offender was also given the option of paying a fine of N150,000.00 (One Hundred and Fifty Thousand Naira) by the judge (One Hundred and Fifty Thousand Naira).

The offender must also forfeit the sum of N200,000.00 (Two Hundred Thousand Naira), one iPhone X, and one iPhone 6plus to the Federal Government of Nigeria, Justice Taiwo further ordered (FGN).

The offence violates Section 320 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015, according to the anti-graft agency in the charge Ref/69817/2022, jointly signed by G.K. Latona and Nnaemeka Omewa.
