Minister: Nigerian government delivers 2,665 houses in 36 states
According to the Hon. Umar Ibrahim El Yakub, Minister of State for Works, the Federal Ministry of Works has succeeded in delivering around 2,665 of the 5,900 houses that were intended to be built throughout the nation in accordance with the National Housing Policy of 2016.

On a familiarisation visit of the houses built by the ministry in Jaba in Panisau, in the Fagge local government area of the state, El Yakub revealed this on Saturday in Kano.

Subscribers have reportedly begun moving into the beautiful homes, according to the ministry.

According to him, there are three types of financing: outright financing, rent-to-own, and mortgage financing.

The minister continued by saying that the National Housing programme is a well-planned initiative given that it has been implemented in all 36 federally recognised states as well as Abuja.

He claimed that the surroundings are amazing and that the services and infrastructure are of a high calibre.

“This government has taken housing scheme very serious not only in words but in action . Housing is key aspect of life We all need roofs on our heads what we need is not only roof but descent, affordable, and sustainable housing programme as the one we have.”

The minister said the houses built so far were based on one, two, three Bedrooms flats and you can see that the culture has been integrated in the design where a Court yard is in the design which makes it attractive .

“This is my first time of visiting the facility since i became a minister and coincidentally its happening in my home state of Kano I am delighted to be here.”
