Murtala Nyako, a former governor of Adamawa State, received warm birthday wishes from President Muhammadu Buhari.
In a press release from the White House, which was co-signed by Femi Adeshina, the President's special assistant for media and publicity, expressed his joy with the former chief of naval staff for his outstanding accomplishments as a military commander, democrat, farmer, and businessman.
The political leader, who also served as the military governor of Niger State, was commended by the President for his dedication and commitment. The military governor accepted his duties as part of nation-building efforts, particularly in the areas of community and human development.
As the former Governor of Adamawa State turns 80, the President extolled his courage, sacrifice and selflessness, preferring to put the people first in public policy and working hard to ensure a better life for many.
President Buhari commends Nyako’s visionary investment in agriculture, culminating in a conglomerate that exports products, and provides employment opportunities and mentorship for many.
He prayed that the Almighty God will bless and keep the former Chief of Naval Staff and his family.
