The Ogun State Chapter of the All Progressive Congress (APC) Professional Women Council has advised the people to support Prince Dapo Abiodun in his bid for reelection in order to keep benefiting from democracy.
During a meeting with female political professionals today (Sunday) in Abeokuta, Mrs. Ronke Soyombo, the National Coordinator of the Council, highlighted some of the accomplishments of the Prince Dapo Abiodun-led administration, including the empowerment programme for youths in agriculture under the Anchor Borrowers Scheme and the recruitment of 5,000 teachers through the Ogunteach scheme.
According to Mrs. Soyombo, notable accomplishments of the current administration in the State include the construction and rehabilitation of roads in important towns and cities, the rehabilitation of health care facilities to meet the needs of the populace's healthcare, quick response to the COVID-19 outbreak, and the renovation of about 956 classrooms throughout all of the local government areas of the State.
Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Prince Dapo Abiodun are two credible candidates for president and governor of Ogun State, respectively, in the upcoming general election in 2023. The National Coordinator urged women in all professions to break the habit of staying at home during elections and to instead obtain their Permanent Voter Cards (PVC), cast their votes in large numbers, and support these candidates.
