Police arrest man for defrauding online vendors
Olumide Agboola, 44, is currently securing himself in a jail cell at the Makinde Divisional Police station after robbing online merchants.

After a lengthy investigation was conducted as a result of numerous reports concerning Agboola's behaviour, he was ultimately detained.

According to police sources, several CCTV recordings from the suspect's various crime scenes helped identify him. Additionally, it was learned that during his previous operation, Agboola had taken the victim's Infinix Hot 9 mobile phone, as well as other textiles, underwear, and singlets she had come to sell, all of which were worth N193,000.

The suspect's method of operation, according to sources, was to use social media platforms to pretend to be a legitimate customer, place orders, and ask vendors to deliver the things to specific hotels, where he would rob the owners.

SP Benjamin Hundeyin, a spokesperson for the Lagos State Police Command, confirmed the information and said an investigation was ongoing to find further stolen goods from his prior operations.
