The City Ground has welcomed sixteen players, including Emmanuel Dennis and Taiwo Awoniyi, and The Reds are assembling a strong team.
The head coach of Nottingham Forest, Steve Cooper, claimed they are in the Premier League to win. Cooper is also in charge of one of the most heartwarming and moving Premier League stories in recent memory.
Cooper stated that they feel good going into their matchup against Alex Iwobi's Everton at Goodison Park since they have had the entire week to prepare.
“We were pleased to get off the mark at home last weekend and there were a lot of good things to come from the game,” said Cooper.
“We will focus on our ideas” – Cooper
Cooper's Nottingham Forest had a week to enjoy their victory over West Ham because of their forethought, bravery, and good fortune.
The enthusiastic Reds supporters were present to support the squad the entire game.
“The feeling for the supporters after that first win back was the most important thing and we talked about that with the players in the build-up,” Cooper told Nottingham Forest TV.
“We’ve had a good week of preparation and with no midweek game we’ve been able to spend a lot of time out on the training pitch together and that’s also important for building on our team spirit.
“Any game in the Premier League is difficult but certainly away from home against Everton will always be a tough fixture but one we’ll commit to.
“Goodison Park is an iconic stadium in this division and always creates a good atmosphere, so we’ve got to go there knowing that will be the case but we go with good confidence following the work we’ve put in this week.
“We try and only think about ourselves, we respect the opponents and we are aware of the strengths Everton have but we’ve got to focus on our ideas and we want to win every game we play in.”
