Junior Lokosa, a striker for the Super Eagles, has moved from Kwara United of the Nigeria Professional Football League to Al Rayyan in Saudi Arabia.

Lokosa gained notoriety in 2018 with to his heroics for the Kano Pillars, when he scored 19 goals in the league.

The 28-year-old narrowly missed out on playing for Nigeria at the 2018 World Cup after Gernot Rohr substituted Simi Nwankwo for him.

Lokosa has since participated in three different teams. The forward from Badagry joined Esperance in Tunisia in 2019, however he left the team after only one season.

After that, in 2021, Lokosa joined Simba SC of Tanzania. But after just three months, his contract was terminated.

Last season, Lokosa made his NPFL debut. With Kwara United, he had a respectable season, scoring eight goals to lead them to a fourth-place finish.

Lokosa, however, won't play for Afonja Warriors because he signed a contract with Al Rayyan of Saudi Arabia.
