Falconets coach Christopher Danjuma cited his team's relegation from the FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup as a result of poor finishing after watching his players lose to Netherlands 2-0 in the quarterfinal.
However, the coach bemoaned his team's inability to capitalise on the majority of their begging opportunities against the Dutch ladies and praised his players for their strong performance in the competition.
“I think we failed to utilize most of our chances in the game and this really cost us the match. I think this is what happened when you failed to use your chances when it mattered,” he said after the match.
With two goals in the first half against Netherlands in their quarterfinal encounter at Alajuela, the Falconets were eliminated from the World Cup.
