West Ham sign Germany’s Thilo Kehrer from Paris Saint-Germain
Thilo Kehrer, a defender for Germany, has joined West Ham from Paris Saint-Germain in a move worth reportedly £10.1 million (€12 million).

Kehrer has signed a four-year deal at London Stadium with an additional two-year option, making him West Ham's sixth acquisition of the transfer window.

The 25-year-old has played 128 times for the Ligue 1 team over the course of the past four seasons with PSG, a total only five other players have surpassed since the start of the 2018–19 campaign.

With the Parisians, he won seven medals, including three Ligue 1 championships, and was a member of the group that advanced to the 2019–20 Champions League final.

Since Hansi Flick became head coach in May 2021, no player has appeared in more international matches for Germany than Kehrer's 20 caps.

Kehrer, whose PSG contract was about to expire and whose name had also been connected to Sevilla, is now eager to start a new chapter in the English top division.

“I’m very excited to sign for West Ham,” Kehrer, who can play at left-back or centre-back, told his new club’s official website.

“This is the best league in the world and I’m excited about coming to play in the Premier League. I talked to the manager and he told me about how he sees me fitting in at the club.

“My biggest goal now is to get into the team, integrate myself within the group and enjoy playing for West Ham.”

Kehrer joined West Ham this transfer window after Nayef Aguerd, Alphonse Areola, Gianluca Scamacca, Maxwel Cornet, and Flynn Downes.

The team led by David Moyes has lost its first two Premier League games without scoring and will play Viborg on Thursday in a Europa Conference League qualifier.
