According to Bola Tinubu's supporters, Asiwaju Project Beyond 2023, the All Progressives Congress (APC) is currently united, which will guarantee Tinubu's victory in the 2023 presidential elections.
This is stated in a statement released on Sunday in Abuja and signed by Okpanachi Okpanachi, the group's Director-General.
According to Okpanachi, Tinubu's power lay in the party's existing unity and tight link more than in his political savvy and cunning.
“More than before, the All Progressives Congress (APC) is united, stronger and poised to win the 2023 Presidential election.
“This is made possible because the leaders and members of the party were smart enough to have gone for Asiwaju Bola Tinubu.
“Tinubu is a man reputed for his confidence, vision, sagacity, experience and doggedness as the party’s Presidential candidate,” he said.
After the convention that elected Tinubu as the APC's standard bearer, Okpanachi claimed that other opposition groups believed the party would split.
Contrary to expectations, Okpanachi said, the APC continued to grow in strength, cohesion, and purpose following the primary election.
To the delight of all party faithful, he claimed, all former APC presidential contenders had resolved to support Tinubu's presidential campaign.
‘’All of these aspirants formally and in one accord, have passed a vote of confidence on Tinubu and equally collapsed their structures into Tinubu’s structure.
“With the strong unity within the party, the commitment of President Muhammadu Buhari and Tinubu’s general acceptance, we are confident that Tinubu shall win the Presidential election,” he said.
