Monday Ekoriko, the principal of Madonna Community Secondary School in Akwa Ibom State's Oruk Anam local government area, has reportedly been kidnapped.
Menim Ekoriko, the victim's wife, described the incident yesterday while telling how the armed men broke into the family compound at Udianga Enem in the state's Etim Ekpo local government area at around 7:30 pm and went directly to where her husband was sitting.
She claimed that the thugs first engaged her husband in a protracted struggle before overwhelming him.
The police commissioner, Mr. Olatoye Durosinmi, has already ordered the deployment of a tactical squad to the area, according to the police public relations officer, Mr. Odiko MacDon, who confirmed the occurrence.
